Tired of Politics as Usual? Worried about being Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and/or Transgendered in the U.S.A.? Want to Create Change?

Join the Nebraska Democratic Party Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered (LGBT) Caucus!

This invitation requests that you seriously consider working for change for LGBT issues and issues impacting all minorities: people of color; women; small farmers and ranchers; small business; the differently abled; children.

You can do this by: 1) Registering as a Democrat; 2) Joining the LGBT Caucus.

The LBGT Caucus Mission
The Nebraska Democratic Party Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Caucus is devoted to advancing equal rights for all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. The Caucus supports the Democratic Party and Democratic candidates who support our mission.

LGBT Caucus Vision
To educate the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community, and people who are supportive of it, about the vast differences that exist between the two major parties on the issues of concern to our community;

To lead our party to improve its record on issues of importance to our community, and to work for the recruitment, nomination, election and reelection of Democratic candidates - including qualified openly lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender candidates - who will be fully supportive of our fight for equality and against bigotry and intolerance;

To encourage our community to support and vote for Democratic candidates who are committed to defeating anti-gay bias and prejudice.

How to Join
1) Register as a Democrat at your County Election Office.

2) Send your contact information: Name, Physical Address, E-mail Address, Phone Number to: Barbara Baier. All contact information will be kept confidential and never shared with anyone!

3) Attend monthly LGBT Caucus meetings to meet other LGBT community members and allies; to volunteer for fund-raisers, issues forums, and more; to become educated on political issues and the political process. Your involvement is strictly confidential!
